The Lake Vrbensky

The North Bohemia is rich in both natural and artificial water bodies. Mining and industrial region of Most abounds furthermore in many reservoirs, which appeared as a consequence of the mining activity. The sink Vrbenský arouse several tens of years ago from interconnection of three original smaller water bodies. It is located in the middle of a leafy wood, just a couple of kilometres from the town Most.
On 1.April 20003 begun the Lake Vrbenský to be officially used as a private area with exceptional conditions for fishing. Since the first moments of its existence we tried to create with a maximal care and sensibility an area which will find its friends among the wide fishing public thanks to the pleasant environment, professional services of the staff and the really unique quality of the fish population. We still go on in this effort and we regularly look for new ways, how to create the possibly best conditions for sport fishermen from the whole Europe. We are thinking out new ways how to enable them to experience the best fishing moments. We do our best for them to take the most lasting and the most beautiful memories from us and we believe, we are successful.
The lake
The private area Vrbenský by Most covers the area of about 8 hectares with a depth up to 8 meters. A very diverse underwater terrain offers an ideal living space to a really wide spectrum of fish. Under the surface there is for example a swampy as well as a sandy bed, plunged trunks and bushes, grasses but also rests of buildings.
The fish population
When talking about an extraordinary level of the fish population in the Lake Vrbenský it is not an advertising trick. It is a water which has never been emptied (thank to its disposition). There is recorded an existence of local "natives", carps of the age of about 30 - 40 years, of the length of over 1 meter and the weight of over 30 kilograms. During the last years were here gradually brought important deliveries of complete series of trophy fish of different kinds. Besides a great number of carps of a market size it is a higher percentage of extraordinary generation sizes of over 1 meter and weight over 25 kg. Here also live sheatfish of the length of about 2 meters, pikes and of 1 meter, hypophthalmichthys and ctenopharyngodons of 1 meter and of the weight over 30 kg. A matter of course are here coregonus lavaretus - maraena, tench, eelpout, lucioperca, eels, giant trouts of the weight of 5-10kg and a whole spectrum of white fish. In the summer 2003 was brought a shoal of 20 siberian sturgeons of a length of over 1 meter.
The conditions and services
Along the banks of the lake were created seven completely independent fishing places for 2 fishermen. Each of them is equipped with a both-sided mole. At disposal there are wooden toilets, dustbins, bivouacs and further infrastructure carefully embedded in the natural environment. Around the lake there grow rushes and grass. The reception area is equipped with a guarded car park, meeting-place with hangers, base for the manager and the security service of the lake. Near the entrance there is a fishing place adapted for handicapped colleagues.
At disposal are also a possibility to rent boats with echo sounders, safekeeping of valuable objects in the managers safe, professional photographs of the trophy in paper or electronic form (individual arrangement). For order refreshments, ready meals, hot and cold drinks. Booking of fishing places by telephone or e-mail. The managers of the area are members of the fishing guard with appropriate qualifications and are professional fishermen. Safety of the whole area in the night hours is secured by professional guard with dogs.
